Contemplative Forest Art Walk was an intimately scaled, self guided tour of hand painted banners nearly 10 feet in length, each marking a station for mindfulness based meditation and contemplation. The paintings changed with each moment and over the longer scale of time, they faded. Benches with signage provided information on different kinds of mindfulness. Contemplative Forest Art Walk was deinstalled in September of 2020 after 16 months.

Contemplative Forest Art Walk was constructed by a creative and technical team led by Anne Beffel at Michigan Technological University's public art design studio, Studio Here Now, located in Wadsworth Residence Hall, and at the School of Forest Resources and Environmental Science, the Ford Center Forest, and the Department of Visual and Performing Arts. The first banners project was created at the invitation of David Francis, Public Arts Coordinator for the Shoreline Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services.
